Reason # billion: He loves me even when I am stressed out, and he knows what to do about it. He puts dinner in the crockpot. He picks up dinner on the way home. He lets me ramble crazily and he lets me sit silently. He lets me work-work-work on schoolwork... and he lets me curl up on the couch and do nothing.
AND he does adorable things to make me happy, like:
This note in my lunch box yesterday:
Did I mention he often PACKS MY LUNCH?! <3 |
Last night I couldn't find my stuffed Christmas moose, Evergreen. Husband found him for me this morning and set him up like this on the stairs! |
Love. <3
I'm so glad your husband is so great, and that you realize it!
ReplyDeleteI love this. I wish we could convince people--teenagers especially--that love isn't all big moments--hearts and flowers, pledging your love on a balcony, Pinterest weddings, etc. Sometimes, most of the times, it's the little things like this that really show love. My husband brought the Christmas tree downstairs for me last week because he knew I wanted to set up the tree. Gotta love the guys who know.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! Even I didn't know that what I wanted after a long day of teaching was to be greeted at the stairs by a stuffed animal... but he knew! :)
DeleteYou do have a keeper! I love the little things that say I love you in such quiet ways, no one else knows, but you know. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. He sounds like a seriously kind-hearted person. (Gotta get a love note in my hub's "lunch bag" asap!)
ReplyDeleteScore! He's a good guy alright. I love that he found Evergreen and set him up as a morning shout out. I agree with Deb--those little moments over time, add up to a rich life of shared love. Lucky.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh shucks. Too sweet! I hope you shared this post with him!
ReplyDeleteI agree, you have a terrific guy. Hold on tight!
